Weekly Business 4/24

Dear Trinidad Travel Companions,
Hope all is well your way!
The semester is winding down. So much to take care of.
A few reminders/ invitations/ check-ins:
Digital Assignment: You will receive a link to folder where you can upload the photo and caption for grading. Wherever you submitted it, I do not have access to it for grading purposes.
Tomorrow’s class: In addition to completing the readings, please be ready to share what you learned from your deeper culture/ connection activity aimed at understanding solidarity.
Tomorrow, I will be available from 1:30-2:30 pm after class to give you feedback on your study guides. Come to McCain G13.
Thursday: I will be in our usual class to give feedback on final projects. No usual class, but you are encouraged to attend.
Looking ahead: Your final Discussion Board entry is due on April 30th — kindly make it substantive to reflect ALL the lessons from the last few weeks about what your personal global lessons, activisms and citizenships might entail. Be specific and include examples from Trinidad travels if possible.
Other final assignments are due SOON! Looking ahead: Final project presentations: are on May 2nd during class time. You will each have 3-5 minutes to share an excerpt of your final project with the class. Be sure to attend class, and submit your project — either physical project, or e-mail a link to it if it is digital.
Study Guides: Due in hard copy and electronically ANY TIME after May 5th before May 10th.
Many key concepts were mentioned in the last 3 class sessions. Be sure to include them.
You are also expected to include addendum with visuals/ concept maps showing how the core concepts are connected to each other.
Attendance: Note that the class attendance policy is clear and listed on the syllabus as well as the grade summary sheet. If you have missed multiple and consecutive classes, it is your responsibility to meet with me ASAP and arrange a make-up assignment if you would like to rectify your grade implications.
Self-assessment: Please post your self-evaluation to the google sheet grade summary document. It is very helpful for me to know your own sense of what you did well or struggled with. Part of claiming your education is being open about what you would do better next time.
As always. let me know if you have any questions. E-mail is best.
